[...] Former Yippie Judy Gumbo, 74, married writer Art Eckstein, 70, on Aug. 20 in Berkeley. A year ago after reading his Yale University Press book, "Bad Moon Rising — How the Weather Underground Beat the FBI But Lost the Revolution," Gumbo contacted Eckstein to complain about parts of it. "Nothing is as hot for an academic as good critique," says the groom.

The romance that followed started with emails and grew through phone conversations and, eventually, FaceTime sessions. "I never thought I would say this," said Gumbo, who seems to take a certain pride in her 1,300-page FBI file, "but I am grateful to the FBI for bringing us together."
